Relaunch

Welcome to the new JamieMurai.com! It took me a little while longer than I expected to finish the design and get all the pieces working together, but I've finally gotten to the point where the site works good enough. I'm still trying to clean a few things up, like extracting some of the sidebar widgets into their own plugins so that they can just be, well, plugged in to future themes. Also, I'm still gradually cleaning up the markup and css to make it as clean and standards compliant as I possibly can.

One thing you might notice is that all the old content is gone. I spent some time trying to decide whether or not to keep the old content around, but finally decided on just throwing it away. Most of it is irrelevant anyways, so no one should miss it. I thought it would just be a nice change to make this site new from top to bottom.

As I stated on the 'temporary' page, the purposed of this site is going to be slightly more refined. I'm going to try and make a solid effort to post more often, and with more relevant content. There's a lot of really interesting stuff going on in the tech industry right now, and I want to share some of my thoughts on it. Also, in the process of developing this site, and others, I sometimes come across useful information that other web developers might be interested in, so I'll likely post some of it on here as well.

Now that I've got all the updates out of the way, I can get back to writing some real content. So stay tuned. Hopefully there will be some good stuff in the pipeline.
